The San Diego Unified School District Board of Education has made the decision to terminate Superintendent Lamont Jackson following an independent investigation into allegations of inappropriate conduct involving two former district employees. The district initiated an independent investigation after concerns were raised regarding Jackson's behavior. The Board of Education and Jackson mutually agreed that his departure was in the best interest of the district.
Communication to Parents
In an email sent to parents, the district expressed its appreciation for Dr. Jackson's leadership and confidence in Dr. Bagula's ability to maintain stability during the transition period. The examination, which started in May, was dealt with by the Los Angeles-based law firm Sanchez & Amador, locked in by the area in April for "touchy inside examinations."
